Geochemical mapping at the scale of 1:25 000 at the Olkusz Sheet M-34-64-A-a (82.5 km2) is a continuation of detailed mapping works initiated in years 1996–1999 by a pilotelaboration entitled “Detailed geochemical map of Upper Silesia 1:25 000 – Sławków map sheet M-34-63-B-b” (Lis, Pasieczna, 1999). The project was ordered by the Ministry of the Environment and it was financed by the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management.
